Kabillion kicks up VOD presence with VHX deal, digital storefront

Open for business: Kabillion and VHX join forces to roll out a new download service that lets kids stream episodes across multiple devices.

As kids are increasingly consuming media via smartphone and tablet, more and more networks are bringing their content to multiple platforms. The latest is Splash Entertainment’s free VOD network Kabillion. It has partnered with online distribution platform VHX to make its children’s titles available for streaming on multiple devices.

Episodes of Kabillion series including Chloe’s Closet, Hero:108 (pictured), The DaVincibles and Dive Olly Dive! are now available for download and purchase via its new digital storefront.

In partnering with VHX, a direct-to-consumer distribution platform, Kabillion is expanding its already substantial reach. The VOD network is currently available in more than 45 million homes and it ranks among the top 10 free on-demand TV networks for kids in the US.

Most recently, the VOD net joined forces with Base79, one of the largest YouTube MCNs outside of North America. Through the partnership, Kabillion is aiming to boost global viewership for its Kabillion YouTube channel and to roll out new original programming.
