As tweens and teens increasingly consume content on mobile platforms first, Radio Disney has announced it will launch two new channels on ShowMobile, a new COPPA-compliant mobile platform that brings exclusive music-themed content and social media together in one central location.

The new Radio Disney channel is now available on ShowMobile’s iOS and Android apps. In the coming weeks, Radio Disney is slated to launch its Next Big Thing featuring Shawn Mendes channel on ShowMobile, highlighting its newest featured artist, Island Records’ 15-year-old singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes. ShowMobile will also be creating transmedia content for the Next Big Thing channel.

The two new channels (Radio Disney, Next Big Thing featuring Shawn Mendes) are the first in a series of collaborations between ShowMobile and Radio Disney. In addition, the cast of HitStreak, ShowMobile’s first made-for-mobile original series, will be filming episodes at Radio Disney’s studios, integrating with the station’s on-air talent and special guests.

Radio Disney’s two new channels join ShowMobile’s existing roster of channels, including teen pop star Austin Mahone, HitStreak and new Virgin Records artists The Rosso Sisters.
