iCarly, Frozen rule Amazon’s X-Ray list

Checking in with consumers: Amazon puts shows under X-Ray and iCarly and Frozen come out on top with its US Kindle Fire/Fire TV users.
August 1, 2014

It looks like iCarly and Frozen are still very much on consumers’ minds. Amazon recently released a list of its most X-Ray’d actors, songs and movies for the month of July, with the two kids properties coming out on top.

Amazon’s X-Ray is available for Amazon Instant Video users in the US. The service lets users access IMDB via Kindle Fire tablets and Fire TV. As users watch their shows or movies, X-Ray pulls up relevant actor or scene information.

The retail giant found that the most X-Ray’d actor of July was Miranda Cosgrove, the star of Nickelodeon’s iCarly. Frozen dominated the charts as the number six most X-Ray’d movie, and number one most X-Ray’d song this month. In fact, kids series like Dora the Explorer occupied a number of the top spots on the charts.
