Asylum inks deal with Ashley Tisdale’s Blondie Girl

Asylum Entertainment has signed a multi-year overall deal with actor-producer Ashley Tisdale (pictured) and her indie Blondie Girl Productions, which will develop and produce unscripted content for the Beverly Hills Pawn producer.

Asylum Entertainment has signed a multi-year overall deal with actor-producer Ashley Tisdale’s Blondie Girl Productions.

Along with her sister Jennifer Tisdale, Blondie’s VP of development and production, Ashley (pictured) will develop and produce scripted and unscripted content for the Beverly Hills Pawn and The Kennedys producer with a focus on family and young adult projects.

Blondie Girl Productions’ credits include reality titles Miss Advised for Bravo and Inner Circle for E!, as well as the ABC Family series Young and Hungryand Cloud 9, a TV movie about snowboarding that aired on Disney Channel.

Last December, Legendary Entertainment acquired Asylum for an undisclosed sum. Through the deal, Asylum joined Legendary Television & Digital Media, Legendary Entertainment’s content-producing division.

“We are excited to work with Ashley and Jennifer to develop television that appeals to a broader, pop culture-savvy audience,” said Steve Michaels, Asylum’s president and CEO, in a statement. “Connecting Asylum and the Blondie Girls team is a great example of the diverse development deals we are striving to create now that we are working with Legendary.”
