The Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association (LIMA), a trade organization for the global licensing industry, elected Rick Van Brimmer as the new chairman of the board. Van Brimmer has almost 25 years of experience in licensing at Ohio State University, where his current role of Assistant VP for Business Advancement has him oversee the licensing program, athletic merchandising and university sponsorship. He succeeds Maura Regan of Sesame Workshop, who completed her two-year term.

LIMA will also see James Slifer of the Joester Loria Group move into the role of Vice Chairman of the board, while Pete Yoder of Cartoon Network was voted to the executive committee as the Liaison to the Board of Directors.

To fill out the LIMA Board, four new members began their terms today: Tim Kilpin of Mattel, Cindy Levitt of Hot Topic, John Parham of Parham Santana and Henry Stupp of the Cherokee Group. Leaving the board are Susie Lecker of Fisher-Price, Marty Malysz of Dependable Solutions, Jennifer Richmond of Richmond Management Group and Cheryl Stoebenau of CAS Marketing.
