Discovery Kids unveils mobile-first website

Discovery Kids is looking to capitalize on changing online habits of its young audience by re-launching its website to feature a mobile-first design, as well as hours of new video, editorial and branded games.

Discovery Kids is looking to capitalize on changing online habits of its young audience by re-launching its website to feature a mobile-first design, as well as hours of new video, editorial and branded games.

All content on the new responsive-designed site, which was developed in collaboration with Animax, will span pre-selected categories that include Dinosaurs, Space, Science, Earth, Animals and Sharks. The site is aimed at the brand’s core audience of kids ages six to 12.

Short-form video content will come from Discovery Digital Networks’ Animalist, TestTube and Revision3. Other content will be sourced from the company’s TV brands, such as Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, TLC and Science Channel. An additional Parents section that, among other things, features a live Facebook feed.
