London, UK-based Saltbeef TV has been commissioned by CBBC to produce a further 19 x 60-minute episodes of the studio entertainment series Friday Download.

The new episodes will see the show, which first premiered in 2011, enter its seventh and eighth series on the channel.

Friday Download features the latest information in the world of dance, style, music, gaming, gadgets, film, TV and more. In 2014, the show will also continue its relationship with BBC Radio 1.

The new series will once again be hosted by the show’s teen presenters Dionne Bromfield, Ceallach Spellman, Richard Wisker, George Sear and Shannon Flynn. This year will also see some new faces joining as guest presenters, including 15-year-old pop sensations Harvey and Anais Gallagher who will be filming fashion tips on VT. Aidan Davis, who was part of the original presenting line-up, announced earlier this month that he was leaving the show after six series to concentrate on his music and other new opportunities.
