ZDF Enterprises sells Q Pootle 5 to KiKA

ZDF Enterprises has inked a deal with KiKA, the German free-to-air children's channel, for the acquisition of the 52 x 11-minute preschool series Q Pootle 5.

ZDF Enterprises has inked a deal with KiKA, the German free-to-air children’s channel, for the acquisition of the 52 x 11-minute preschool series Q Pootle 5.

The series is produced in the UK by Snapper Productions and is based on the author and illustrator Nick Butterworth’s book series that follows the titular alien and his friends.

The series launched last year on CBeebies in the UK, and has reached more than four million viewers and is among  the highest-rated series for the children four to six demo.

Rocket Licensing reps the IP in the UK, and has signed a number of licensees including Walker Books and Blue Sky Designs.
