Following yesterday’s deals for the Matt Hatter Chronicles brand, ITV Studios Global Entertainment has now announced a new UK consumer products partnership with Playmobil and its animated TV series Super 4 from morgen studios and Method Animation.

ITV Studios will look to license both a classic, retro program and one focused on the new series.

Playmobil celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2014 with the launch of the new TV series Super 4.  New licensing will focus on specially designed gifts and accessories. Retail outlets for both the retro and kids programs will target department stores, specialty and mid to high retail distribution, joining existing licensees Redan and Hallmark.

Since its launch in 1974, Playmobil has become a global children’s favorite, with many different play worlds, from knight’s castles to sunny holiday hotels, and is today distributed in more than 80 countries. In total, more than 2.7 billion Playmobil figures have been produced.

The new 52 x 11-minute  CGI series  is co-produced by Method Animation and morgen studios, a specialist in the development of digital content for families and children. Aimed at kids ages five to nine, its cast, as well as backdrop, are inspired by the Playmobil universe.
