The Jim Henson Company has licensed its animated children’s series, Doozers, to Turner Broadcasting System Asia Pacific’s preschool kidsnet Cartoonito.

Co-produced with Canada’s DHX Media, the new 52 x 11-minute CG series began its international roll out this fall debuting on Cartoonito in multiple territories across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Cartoonito currently reaches 125 million homes in its target regions.

Doozers also premiered on Nick Jr. in Australia on October 7, was recently snapped up┬áby Hong Kong’s TVB in a multi-episode deal, and is set to air on Discovery Kids Latin America.

Based on the iconic Henson series Fraggle Rock, Doozers follows the fun adventures of young Doozer kids Spike, Molly Bolt, Flex, and Daisy Wheel who pool their creative ideas to build things including a Doozer Derby racing car, a jetpack for flying and a life-sized gingerbread house.

With support from the Nova Scotia Film Industry Tax Credit and The Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit, the series is also expanding into digital content and consumer products with Turner Enterprises handling the IP’s product licensing rights.
