ABC Commercial looks to Ramsay-Luck for sales growth

Sharon Ramsay-Luck has stepped into the newly created role of head of sales and business development at ABC Commercial as the division of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation looks to beef up its content sales business.

Sharon Ramsay-Luck has stepped into the newly created role of head of sales and business development at ABC Commercial as the division of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation looks to beef up its content sales business.

The new role incorporates responsibility for the division’s content sales activities, international digital sales and core acquisitions and business development functions pertaining to audio-visual content.

Ramsay-Luck brings with her more than 20 years of experience in management and business development, including more than 15 years in the media industry. She has a long history with the ABC, having first joined the corporation in 1998 to work with ABC Video, then managing the events and licensing business for a number of years. For the past 10 months, she has been acting as GM, Video Entertainment and Distribution at ABC Commercial.

In 2007, Ramsay-Luck joined SBS to set up their distribution business where she established SBS Music, SBS Books and SBS Magazines and launched SBS DVD. She also managed the content sales arm of SBS for a number of years.
