Cartoon Network has started production on its first Australian-made series for global distribution, entitled Exchange Student Zero.

The series will be ready to air in 2015 and will be followed by a second made-in-Australia production Monster Beach. Both Monster Beach and Exchange Student Zero are being produced in conjunction with Australia-based Bogan Entertainment Solutions.

Exchange Student Zero is a 13 x 22-minute action adventure series that tells the story of two boys who bring an anime character to life and pass him off as an exchange student.

Monster Beach is a 70-minute special that follows the adventures of Jan and her brother Dean on a scary secluded island.
