California-based media localization provider SDI Media, on the heels of its purchase of Iberia’s Soundub Studios and expansion efforts in Russia, is ramping up production in Prague, Czech Republic with the opening of a new dubbing studio.
SDI, which provides dubbing, subtitling and media services for global content owners and broadcasters and new media distributors,, has operated studios serving broadcasters in the Czech Republic since 2006. The new studio, at 7,000 square feet, will offer new technologies and services in Prague including theatrical recording rooms and 5.1 mix solutions. A second phase build-out will occur based on customer and market requirements.
SDI currently owns and operates 160 recording rooms and 85 mixing rooms worldwide. The company serves 40 markets in 37 countries across EMEA, Asia and the Americas.
