Garfield gets stateside representation

The US arm of UK agency Bulldog Licensing will now represent the Garfield brand stateside, as well as in Canada. Bulldog will be offering sales support to US-based licensor Paws.

The US arm of UK agency Bulldog Licensing will now represent the Garfield brand stateside, as well as in Canada. Bulldog will be offering sales support to US-based licensor Paws.

The Garfield cartoon strip was first introduced in 1978 and is now featured in more than 2,100 newspapers worldwide, two feature-length live-action films and three CGI-animated movies. The fat cat also stars in The Garfield Show currently airing on Cartoon Network in the US and in 130 other countries.

Bulldog Licensing in the UK, which landed Garfield last year, and will be working alongside its US sister company to further the licensing program across toys, electronic games, apparel & accessories, stationery and gift. New deals are expected to be announced soon.
