Live-action and animated preschool series Space Stretch, created and produced by Saskatoon, Canada-based Cheshire Smile Animation, has been renewed for a second season.

Cheshire Smile will produce 10 more episodes of the five-minute series, which is led by a space yogi who pilots a space ship as part of a green-screen adventure that incorporates physical activity and learning. In Space Stretch, the ship’s captain and his crew do yoga stretches and poses as they explore the solar system.

Space Stretch was produced with a cast and crew entirely based in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan, including yoga instructor Ryan Leier and Vincent Lu, theatre artist Kristen Holfeuer, actor Jeff Pufahl and singer-songwriter Carrie Catherine.  Cheshire Smile is headed up by producer-director-writer Tim Tyler.

The first eight-episode season airs on City Saskatchewan, and is available for national viewing online via the City website.
