In line with its recent global consumer products reorganization, LA-based Saban Brands is set to open its first international office in London and has named industry veteran Gustavo Antonioni as the company’s MD of consumer products Europe.

The new office will aim to grow the UK and European licensing programs for Saban Brands’ hit IP including Power Rangers, Paul Frank, Julius Jr. and Digimon Fusion.

In the newly created role, sales, marketing and promotions veteran Antonioni will report to Saban Brand’s SVP of global consumer products Kirk Bloomgarden, who took on leadership of the new global consumer products division in June.

Antonioni comes to Saban with more than 18 years of executive experience in the film studio business having spent time with ITV, Warner Bros., Sony and Marvel.

He was most recently the founder of The Brand Buro, a London-based retail consultancy and began his career at Disney Consumer Products managing music, publishing, retail and marketing in Latin America, Central America and the Caribbean.

Saban also has plans to open a new office in Shanghai, China later this year.
