Digital streaming platforms Hulu and Amazon have picked up Toronto-based Cuppa Coffee’s library of original animated series. That slate includes Nerdland, A Very Barry Christmas, Tigga and Togga, Bruno and the Banana Bunch, Bruno and Life’s a Zoo.

Stop-motion sitcom Life’s a Zoo, created by Adam Shaheen and Andrew Horne and directed by Alexander Gorelick, is a copro with Teletoon. It premiered on the channel’s late night programming block, Teletoon at Night, and earlier this year premiered on Smosh’s cartoon YouTube channel, Shut Up! Cartoons.

The series, which won a Gemini for best animated series in 2009, is a parody of reality series Big Brother, in which seven contestants share a mansion in Saskatchewan and compete in challenges to avoid extinction.

Cuppa Coffee president Shaheen is also producing The Pen, a spinoff from Life’s a Zoo, to be shopped at MIPCOM next week.
