yummico, the children’s media company founded back in February by Blue’s Clues creator Traci Paige Johnson, and filmmakers Caroline Baron, Robert Mowen and Anthony Weintraub, has teamed up with New York pubcaster WNET to develop a nutrition-based venture.

The new venture will feature original digital content from yummico’s musical food adventure series Yummiloo, and it will include interactive content, videos, music, games and activities for preschool children, as well as information for parents, caregivers, and educators.

The interactive app, Yummiloo Rainbow Power, a story-based game, debuted last spring on the iTunes store.  Featuring the Yum Yums, a band of creatures who live in a world made entirely of food, Yummiloo helps kids discover the basics of food identification and nutrition.
