With next month’s release of Disney’s Planes, the House of Mouse has released an interactive toy collection and crop of lifestyle products designed to tap into boys’ classic play patterns.

Disney Consumer Products’ Disney’s Planes collection, available now at mass retailers across the US and at Disney Store locations, includes character diecast planes and a radio control plane from Mattel. Thinkway has developed a remote-control plane that comes to life with animations and sound effects. And Disney Store has released talking action figure sets that feature LED lights.  The Disney Planes: Storybook Deluxe app relives the film through 41 story screens and features read-along text and full narration.

On the fashion and lifestyle front, offerings include Apparel Network assortments of toddler jackets, t-shirts and shorts, as well as Jay Franco bedding.

The 3D-animated comedy, featuring the voice of Dane Cook as Dusty the plane, will hit theaters on August 9.
