UK-based Mind Candy and game publisher Activision are teaming once again on a Moshi Monsters-themed video game, entitled Katsuma Unleashed, which will launch on Nintendo handhelds this fall.

The game is currently in development at UK-based studio Sumo Digital for Nintendo DS and 3DS handhelds. It will hit European store shelves on October 11, before moving to North American on November 5.

Set in a 3D cartoon, the game will feature stand-alone hero character Katsuma, the franchise’s most popular Moshi Monster. The game’s 3DS version will utilize the hardware’s StreetPass function, which will feature 18 explorable maps and monster attack games where users can play as each of the Moshi Monsters.

Katsuma Unleashed follows previous Nintendo DS/3DS offerings Moshi Monsters: Moshlings Zoo and Moshi Monsters: Moshlings Theme Park.
