New German free-to-air station inks deal with Yep! TV

German broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 is launching new channel ProSieben MAXX in September, which will debut with kids block Yep! from Yep!TV.

Starting on September 4, ProSieben MAXX will start airing Yep!, aimed at boys six to 13. The programming includes premiers of new seasons of anime staples Pokémon and One Piece.

ProSieben MAXX will go live on Tuesday, September 3 with the free-TV premiere of feature film Captain America – The First Avenger. Exclusively in German free-TV, the new broadcaster will present original-English language series with German subtitles.

Yep! and Yep! TV, in Ismaning near Munich, is a joint-venture between Mainstream Media AG and m4e AG, founded by Gottfried Zmeck and Hans Ulrich Stoef. Yep! MD Karola Bayr has been running the company since October 2012.
