The most recent numbers from online community FashionPlaytes’ FPgirl Market Insights Program, which pulls data from its 900,000-strong membership base, show that Simon & Schuster’s next Dork Diaries installment and Universal’s Despicable Me 2 are topping tween girls‘ to-do lists this summer.

A full 64% of the tween online users surveyed said Dork Diaries is the number-one book they can’t wait to read. Thirty-four percent cited Despicable Me 2, which hits theaters on July 3, as a must-see movie, followed by Disney/Pixar’s Monsters University.

Other top summer activities for this demographic includes chilling at the pool (36%) and traveling to fun places with their family (22%). Not surprisingly, traveling across the country in an RV or visiting national parks were low on their summer travel wish list.
