UK agency Bulldog Licensing, which represents brands like Garfield, The Croods and Turbo, is expanding into the US market through new subsidiary Bulldog Licensing Inc.

The new company’s New York office will be managed by Laurie Windrow. As MD, Windrow will utilize her 20 years of licensing experience, having previously managed global brands such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Pokemon, Build-a-Bear Workshop and Discovery Channel.

While considered a separate entity, the company will still act as an extension of Bulldog in the UK and will also be working on behalf of Bulldog’s existing UK licensors to help them enter the US market, where rights are permitted.

It’s no coincidence that the announcement is timed with the onset of Licensing Expo, as the company is hoping to explore opportunities with brand owners at the annual show later this month.
