The woes of high school are being relived in a new comedy series from Australia’s ABC3 called The Worst Year Of My Life, Again, which has begun filming in Melbourne.

A co-production between the Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ACTF) and Reflective Pictures for ABC3 and CBBC, the 13-part series will be shot over 14 weeks, and it introduces three new young actors—Ned Napier, Laurence Boxhall and Tiarnie Coupland—in lead roles.

Napier stars as Alex King, who has had a horrible year being humiliated by teachers, rejected by girls and bullied. He wakes up on his birthday to discover that time has somehow reset itself, and he must relive every excruciating moment of the past 12 months. His friends convince him he’s being offered a second chance to master high school.

The Worst Year Of My Life, Again will debut in late 2013 or early 2014.
