Mia and me picks up global momentum

Germany-based m4e AG and Italy’s Rainbow have inked global broadcasting and licensing deals for the animated series Mia and me.

Rainbow has signed free-TV deals with Clan TV (Spain) and RTBF/OUFtivi (Belgium), while m4e subsidiary Telescreen BV has sold the series to Yoyo TV (Hong Kong, Macao, Singapore and Taiwan), KBSN (South Korea) and Kazakhstan TV.

Mia and me already airs on ZDF/KiKA in Germany, RAI Gulp (Italy), Nickelodeon (Benelux, Nordic), Minimax (Eastern Europe), TV2 (Norway), DR (Denmark) and RCTI (Indonesia) among others.

The series’ second season is currently in production and is scheduled for delivery by the end of 2014.

On the licensing and merchandising front, Rainbow and m4e have appointed new licensing agents for Mia and me. Exim will handle Latin America, while Wild Pumpkin takes Australia and New Zealand, PopCorn oversees Portugal and Point of View will manage Israel.
