India-based animation production company DQ Entertainment (DQE) has struck a licensing deal with Walmart that will go along with 12 additional licensing and merchandising agreements for its property The Jungle Book.
The Walmart deal for Jungle Book DVDS was signed by DQE’s partner in North America, Australia and South Africa, SMC Entertainment Group, in collaboration with the home-video distribution licensee Phase4 Films. The DVDs will be available across all Walmart stores in the US and Canada.
DQE and SMC also recently concluded a licensing deal with Burger King for a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) promotion that will begin worldwide this June.
Additional L&M agreements for The Jungle Book franchise concluded recently include deals with: Magic Jump for inflatable bounce houses in the US and Canada, Dynamic Displays (45′ helium parade Balloons), Cardinal Industries (puzzles and board games), Dragon Toys (battery-operated animatronics in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa), CraftStone (plush toys, fabric sublimation printed story books, mini blankets in Europe and Asia), Bendon Publishing (coloring and activity, board books and story books), PlayWow International (inflatable toys and bath toys in the US, South Africa and Australia), Budge Studios (iOS and Android apps), Mandodari (DVD part works in Italy), and Compupress (DVD partworks in Greece and Cyprus).
Promotional deals have also been inked with Norton Anti-virus in the US and with Air Transat for in-flight entertainment in the US and Canada.
