The popular Angry Words app has a new licensing agent in Biplano. The Spanish licensing company is set to develop a robust plan based on the Etermax-owned app for Spain, France and Portugal.

Angry Words, also known as Apalabrados, is a multi-player crosswords online game that has gained particular traction in Spain, where one in four smartphone users have downloaded the game. In fact, more than 70% of the game downloads have taken place in Spain.

Of course, Angry Words is following a string of apps that are moving from the mobile screen to the licensing world.  Trailblazer Angry Birds, for instance, has seen 30% of its revenue come from numerous consumer products extensions.
