San Diego, California-based kids publisher Silver Dolphin Books has inked its first-ever licensing agreement with Hasbro for a multi-year North American/Latin American deal to launch Play-Doh-branded educational activity books.

Three Play-Doh concept early learning books (Counting Bunnies, Making Shapes with Monkey, and Rainbow Butterflies for infants ages zero to 18 months), two novelty board books (Mama’s Little Ducklings, My First Words) and one jumbo sticker book (Let’s Get Creative for kids ages three and up) are expected to hit retail stores next month. Book-plus kits are set to arrive for fall 2013.

Beyond the initial launch, Silver Dolphin plans to manufacture additional items like board books, sticker/activity books, electronic sound books and novelty books that include Play-Doh compound.
