Dr. Doofenshmirtz, the popular bumbling villain of Disney Channel’s hit animated series Phineas and Ferb, has entered the social media world with a new Twitter account and a 13-part YouTube video series.

The new web series, Doof’s Daily Dirt, and Twitter handle, @DoofDaily, feature the character’s off-the-wall views of current events, life, pop culture, music, and the internet.

Dr. Doofenshmirtz is voiced by Phineas and Ferb co-creator Dan Povenmire.

The new activity further grows Disney’s IP expansion of its Phineas and Ferb brand after its June 2012 launch of a TV special, online experience, and app for the show’s popular character Perry the Platypus.

Phineas and Ferb has also expanded into books, comics, DVDs, action figures, apparel, accessories, grocery, health and beauty items, a movie planned for this year, a Disney Parks and Resorts’ live entertainment experience and a live touring stage show.
