Spain’s BRB Internacional has struck a deal with IP owner Dracco to be the exclusive licensing agent for the girls horse-centric toy brand Filly across Spain and Portugal.
The deal will see BRB launch a licensing program for the brand with plans to cross into the digital realm of apps and online entertainment in the coming months.
Last month, Dracco also announced a partnership with BRB’s production arm, Screen 21, to produce a 26 x 26-minute 3D-animated series based on the property set to launch in early 2014.
To date, Dracco has sold more than 50 million Filly dolls, with their strongest sales in Germany and Poland. A Filly magazine has also found success in Germany and has launched in 13 additional European countries.
The collectible toy is distributed throughout Europe, as well as North and South America. Master toy licensee Simba Dickie Group is supporting the property globally.
