Australia-based Bubble Gum Interactive has launched its first mobile game, Jetpack Jinx, a free adventure game based on the indie studio’s popular Space Heroes Universe! virtual world for kids ages six to 12.

Available now for Android devices as a free download from Google Play and set to launch on iOS devices before the end of 2012, the five-level, tilt and swipe game lets users play as one of evil Lord Shadowbot’s minions, Jinx, who ends up lost on a mysterious planet. Special power moves can also be unlocked through in-app purchases.

Since launching out of beta in December 2011, the COPPA-compliant Space Heroes Universe! (formerly Little Space Heroes) has accumulated more than one million registered players worldwide.

Bubble Gum Interactive also recently announced the upcoming December launch of prepaid game cards in Australia, New Zealand and Brazil that will let players upgrade to premium memberships. The game cards will hit more than 500 retail locations including EB Games, Toys ‘R’ Us, The Warehouse and Saravia.
