Saban Brands and branded video product developer Kideo have teamed up to launch the first personalized Power Rangers Samurai DVDs and digital video shorts using Pix 3D technology.

The new technology, from Kideo’s parent company, lets fans place themselves directly into one of the episodes from the hit action series by uploading an existing image from their computer or Facebook account. PixFusion then transforms the image into a 3D image with facial expressions, mouth and eye movement by using its patented 3D image modeler technology.

The personalized full-length episodes will be available at retail this fall and at www.kideo.com, while new digital video shorts will be available for download and streaming.

The latest half-hour iteration of Power Rangers, Saban’s Power Rangers Super Samurai, currently airs on Nickelodeon. In August, MarVista announced that the newest version, Power Rangers Megaforce, is expected to air on Nick in the US in 2013.
