Judges announced for first iKids Awards

In the lead-up to Kidscreen's first annual iKids Awards, a panel of expert judges who will carefully review entries submitted and determine the winners in each category has been announced.

In the lead-up to Kidscreen’s first annual iKids Awards, a panel of expert judges who will carefully review entries submitted and determine the winners in each category has been announced.

And the judges are:

Dr. Alison Bryant, Ph.D. – president, PlayScience

Lana Castleman – editor, Kidscreen, iKids

Daniel Donahoo – writer, GeekDad, Wired magazine

Carla Fisher – president/founder, No Crusts Entertainment

Eric Karp – head of licensing, Lima Sky

David Kleeman – president, American Center for Children and Media

Wendy Smolen – founder, Sandbox Summit

Lianne Stewart – owner and digital consultant, For Your Reading Pleasure

Scott Traylor – CEO/founder, 360Kid

The iKids Awards are established to recognize and celebrate the industry’s best digital media products and platforms for kids in the following categories for both the preschool age group (zero to five) and kids ages six and up:

Best Website

Best Learning App

Best Game App

Best eBook

Best Console Video Game

Best Handheld Video Game

Best Streaming Video Platform

The deadline for submitting entries online at ikids.kidscreen.com is Monday, November 5, and the winners will be announced at a special ceremony and cocktail party capping off the 2013 iKids conference in New York on February 4, 2013.
