Sydney, Austrailia’s SLR Productions has greenlit production on new animated action comedy The Skinner Boys with broadcasters Nine Network Australia and SRTL and co-pro partners Telegael, Top Draw Animation and Home Plate Entertainment. ZDF Enterprises will be handling international distribution.

The 26 x half-hour series is based on a concept from Australian artist Steve Lyons and is aiming for a 2014 delivery. The show revolves around the three teenage grandsons of recently deceased world famous explorer Augustus Skinner. Unbenounced to the trio, their grandfather has also made them Guardians of the Lost Secrets, a collection of artefacts that also happen to possess powers. The boys are left to protect the relics from the clutches of evil doers who would abuse their powers.
