Zodiak Kids snags Horrid Henry global TV rights

Zodiak Kids has secured international TV and DVD distribution rights for all three series of Novel Entertainment's 2D-animated kids series Horrid Henry.

Zodiak Kids has secured international TV and DVD distribution rights for all three series of Novel Entertainment’s 2D-animated kids series Horrid Henry.

Worldwide broadcast rights for future series have also been included in the deal.

The 52 x 11-minute series, based on the bestselling books by Francesca Simon, has become one of the most successful series ever for CiTV since launchingĀ on the UK kidcaster inĀ 2006. More than 45 broadcasters currently air the series (156 episodes in total) outside the UK in countries including France, Germany, Eire, Singapore, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, South Africa, Portugal, Poland, Korea, Turkey and across the Pacific and Australasia.

The brand has also experienced a strong licensing and merchandising program that spans a live-action feature film, online and handheld gaming, and a live stage show.
