A number of international broadcasters have picked up Nick Jr.’s interactive CG-animated preschool series Bubble Guppies, thanks to new deals by Viacom International Media Networks.

The series, created by Robert Scull and Jonny Belt (The Backyardigans), has been snapped up in Europe by Swiss broadcaster TSR (season one), and in Canada by TVA’s Yoopa children’s channel (season two).

In the Asia Pacific region, Korea’s EBS and Home Choice have secured season one while Thailand’s PBS has signed on for season one and two via POD Worldwide.

In Latin America, Nicaragua’s Telenica has landed season one, Uruguay’s TeleDoce (season one and two) and Costa Rica’s Teletica for season two.

Bubble Guppies first launched in the US in 2011 and after reaching international markets by the end of the year reached 13.2 million viewers across eight countries including Australia, Italy and the UK.

The series, which features singing, dancing, jokes, games and adventures, follows the everyday lives of preschoolers who happen to have tropical fish tales.
