UK-based manufacturer Inspiration Works’ new Kurio7 tablet has an expanded kids content library thanks to new partnerships with Techno Source and free online kids channel Toon Goggles and AT New Media and Alligator Books.

All 1,200 hours of Toon Goggles’ entertainment and educational programming will be available on every Kurio7 tablet sold in the US. The tablet is currently available for presale at Toys ‘R’ Us and officially launches at US retail locations this month.

The Kurio tablet will also have pre-loaded apps from children’s publisher Alligator Books as part of the publisher’s new digital expansion managed by interactive agency AT New Media.

Apps under the Alligator Creative Play brand featured on the Kurio include Girls Colour! and Boys Colour! and Me to You which lets kids use fingertip crayons and digital stamps.

The Kurio7 is an advanced Android-based, 7-inch touchscreen, Wi-Fi-enabled tablet that comes complete with a range of parental controls.

The tablet is specifically designed for use by kids and teens and is packaged in a durable, protective shell.

The complete range of Kurio kid-friendly devices will be available at mass and specialty retailers in the US and Canada in time for back to school.

Techno Source recently signed on to distribute the tablet in North America.
