After a six-year run, Jo Daris is stepping away from Belgium-based family entertainment prodco Studio 100 and his current role as head of global business development to launch a new career in real estate development in Asia.

Group CEO Hans Bourlon will take over Daris’ roles and responsibilities as of August 1.

Since joining the prodco, Studio 100 has evolved from a local company to an international player with three pillars including a subsidiary in Germany to develop local alliances, a Paris-based animation cell (Studio 100 Animation) created to develop children’s programming, and a distribution platform to ensure financing and distribution for all projects.

Daris began his career in marketing working for leading FMCG companies, and prior to his time at Studio 100, he worked in the toy industry in various roles (going from sales to product development, working with well-known licenses including Pokemon, Winx, Yu-Gi-Oh, Avatar and Totally Spies).
