Public service broadcaster France Télévisions has announced two new appointments in its children’s and youth division in program development and animation.

Effective from September 1, Tiphaine de Raguenel will be the new head of children and youth activities for the child and youth division.

She will be tasked with developing children’s and youth programming for France Télévisions and will act as an intermediary between the digital strategy department and the department of diversification and revenue of France Télévisions.

Reporting directly to de Raguenel will be the manager in charge of children’s and youth programming, the children’s and youth acquisitions manager and the deputy unit director.

de Raguenel will move over to her new position from her current job as marketing and new media director for Lagardère Active TV where she has been employed since 2006.

The second appointment sees Pierre Siracusa promoted from animation research and development manager to the head of animation for the children’s and youth division effective June 1.

He is charged with the creative development of animated works for all France Télévisions broadcasts, and the editorial managers for preschool animation and young children, animation for six to 12-year-olds and family, and hybrid programs and new format report directly to him.

Siracusa first joined France Télévisions in 1993 in the fiction department of France 2.
