Rocket squeezes Orange for UK and Ireland

UK-based Rocket Licensing has signed on to rep The Collective's internet sensation Annoying Orange in the UK and Ireland.

UK-based Rocket Licensing has signed on to rep The Collective’s internet sensation Annoying Orange in the UK and Ireland.

Created by Dan Boedigheimer, the character that debuted in October 2009 has racked up more than a billion total views on YouTube and 2.3 million subscribers to its unique channel on the video-sharing website.

On June 11, a series featuring the cranky citrus bowed on Cartoon Network in the US and there are currently ongoing talks about bringing it to the UK airwaves.

Rocket Licensing is looking to develop a UK licensing campaign in a number of categories including toys and gifts, apparel, amusement plus and accessories.
