Toronto, Canada-based Distribution360 has licensed the format rights for season one of marblemedia’s tween-targeted, medieval-themed kids game show Splatalot (26 x half hours) to Dutch public broadcaster TROS for its kidsnet Z@PP.

Z@PP will create its own version of the series for the Netherlands, which is set to launch this summer, using most of the original footage, and it has already started shooting new hosted segments with popular Dutch TV personalities Ron Boszhard and Viviënne van den Assem.

The licensing deal comes on the heels of D360’s sale of Splatalot to Disney XD in Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Splatalot features a massive outdoor obstacle course where contestants compete against the Defenders of Splatalot (nine costumed gladiators) with the goal of being crowned King or Queen of Splatalot.
