In a move to continue giving kids and their parents a unique summer experience, Cartoon Network has partnered with Atlantis, Paradise Island resort in the Bahamas to offer its second summer program, set to run from May 25 to September 3.
Cartoon Network-themed features include a poolside dive-in theater fashioned after hit animated series Adventure Time, a one-of-a-kind dining experience at Seagrapes restaurant featuring a range of branded costumed characters and opportunities to watch popular CN shows (The Amazing World of Gumball, Ninjago, Ben 10), live theater entertainment, crafts, trivia contests, and a special June 1 performance by popular American band Gym Class Heroes.
New to the program is the Cartoon Network Studios Fantasy Camp, where aspiring young cartoonists are invited to learn animation fundamentals (technology, hand drawing techniques, flip book basics, character creation, voice acting) from Cartoon Network Studios artists.
Atlantis, Paradise Island is constructed around a 141-acre waterscape and is the flagship resort of Kerzner International.
The latest partnership follows recent water-related news that Turner Broadcasting System Asia Pacific plans to launch Cartoon Network AMAZONE, the world’s first waterpark based on Cartoon Network, to be located in Bang Saray on the East Coast of Thailand.
