Further expanding its broadcasting footprint in Asia, Turner Broadcasting System Asia Pacific has signed a deal with Indonesia’s national cable platform First Media to beam Cartoon Network HD across the region from today.

The latest Cartoon Network HD launch, part of a regional rollout that began in the Philippines in January, sees the region get its first HD channel for kids and features hit series including The Amazing World of Gumball, Adventure Time, Chowder, Tom and Jerry Show, Pink Panther & Pals and Scooby-Doo.

The move follows on the heels of last month’s deal between Turner Broadcasting Systems and UAE-based satellite broadcaster YahLive that will see Turner’s Cartoon Network Arabic channel beamed across the Middle East and North Africa regions in HD.
