Continuing along the digital curve, Canadian cartoon producer Cookie Jar Entertainment has licensed its catalogue of animated content to Comcast Cable’s subscription video service Xfinity Streampix.

The licensing agreement opens Cookie Jar’s library vault for Xfinity video customers to view classic cartoons like Adventures of Paddington Bear (pictured), Busy World of Richard Scarry and Busytown Mysteries on multiple screens and devices.

Comcast’s Streampix service has plans to make Cookie Jar’s content available on the Xbox 360 and Android-powered devices as part of its Xfinity TV service.

Other Cookie Jar series made available to Streampix customers include The Doodlebops, Heathcliff, Inspector Gadget, Madeline, Sabrina, the Animated Series and Wimzie’s House.

The latest US licensing deal, unveiled by Toper Taylor, president and COO of Toronto-based Cookie Jar, comes on the heels of Cookie Jar’s new streaming deal with DISH, the third largest pay-TV provider in the US, to grow DISH’s Blockbuster@Home subscription service’s slate of family and kids programming.
