Random House options Dog Loves Books for the screen

Random House Children's Screen Entertainment (RHCSE) has optioned bestselling children's book Dog Loves Books by author/illustrator Louise Yates in a development/production deal that will see the property reach a wider audience in new formats, including television.

Random House Children’s Screen Entertainment (RHCSE) has optioned bestselling children’s book Dog Loves Books by author/illustrator Louise Yates in a development/production deal that will see the property reach a wider audience in new formats, including television.

Dog Loves Books was originally published in 2010 and features the adventures of a dog who owns a bookshop and loves storytelling.

Co-editions of the book are currently sold in six territories and a sequel (Dog Loves Drawing) made its UK debut last month. A third book in the series (Dog Loves Counting) is set to be published in 2013.

RHCSE is a UK-based production house created by Random House Children’s Books and London, England-based Komixx Entertainment.
