Mexico’s version of Bingo, Loteria, is headed to the US marketplace in a licensing deal between global toy company Techno Source and UK-based brand management company FremantleMedia Enterprises.

The game will be available for purchase at mass and specialty retailers this spring and will particularly appeal to a growing, young Hispanic market that consists of more than 44 million people.

Loteria is a 200-year-old game of chance that uses cards featuring images of Mexican culture instead of numbers on ping pong balls.

The deal comes on the heels of Techno Source’s recent partnership with New York City-based media company HIT Entertainment to license new Barney toys in the US and Canada.
