3net, the joint venture 3D network from Sony, Discovery and IMAX, has launched 3net.com in an effort to expand its user base and appeal to an emerging in-home 3D audience.

3net.com mirrors the brand’s core 3D offerings in a 2D environment. Features include 2D and 3D video, a 3D Q&A section, channel and industry news sections and an interactive program guide.

The first phase of 3net’s online initiative also includes the launch of dedicated Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages, intended to further expand the social media outreach for the company.  A dedicated 3net.com site for mobile devices will also launch this week.

The 24/7 3D channel features a wide array of content for kids and families as well as history, documentary, hyper-reality and movie content.
