Beyond Distribution will debut its new CGI-animated preschool series, Buzzy Bee & Friends, at this year’s MIP Junior in Cannes, France.

The program, which represents the first partnership between Beyond and New Zealand producers Lion Rock Ventures and their Malaysian co-production partners Lemon Sky Animation, is based on the popular New Zealand brand that has already made an appearance on TVNZ, in a live stage show and in a wide range of children’s retail spaces.

In the new TV series, Buzzy Bee and his friends live together in Rolling Downs. Each episode starts with Buzzy in his radio studio where callers, including viewers from around the world, phone in to find solutions to life’s little conundrums, illustrated by a story involving the Rolling Downs characters. Back in his studio, Buzzy Bee actively invites viewers at home to submit their own similar experiences via the show’s web radio.
