BBC Worldwide has launched a new app that allows preschoolers to tap into content from the CBeebies channel, which currently reaches more than 53 million homes outside of the UK.
Developed by Tag Apps, CBeebies On The Go features games, activities and characters from series such as Charlie & Lola, 3rd & Bird, Numberjacks and Teletubbies.
The free app is available to download from the App Store, for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad in Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka and South Korea.
This app is a first for the company’s Channels business and will dictate future plans for rolling it out to new territories and different devices.
