Zodiak Kids expands Little Princess program

UK-based Zodiak Kids, Zodiak Media Group’s children’s production and distribution arm, has signed a number of licensing deals for the preschool property Little Princess.

Aurora World UK has acquired the rights to develop a Little Princess plush range for launch in 2012 and Neon Play is preparing to launch of the brand’s first app for iPad, iPhone and the Android platform later on this year.

Kennedy Publishing has been tapped to renew their magazine publishing deal that will see Little Princess featured within the pages of their Pink, Cute, Busy Time and Get Busy titles.

Internationally, Zodiak Kids has renewed Panini’s deal to produce Little Princess calendars in Germany.

As well, licensing agency Empire has been tapped to rep the brand in Asia across all categories excluding publishing and DVD, while Merchantwise has secured the rights in Australia and New Zealand.

The rights to the preschool property were acquired by Zodiak Kids from The Illuminated Film Company in November 2010. Little Princess currently airs on Channel Five’s milkshake! slot in the UK
